the city

I moved to the city yesterday. It doesn't feel like home yet, but it will. I miss home, my mum. I can't hear the ocean anymore; now I hear a train, slowing to a stop. All my possessions feel out of place, but they will find their place soon enough. The city is so alive, constantly. I feel like I can't keep up, but I'm not drowning. I feel excited, to explore and see what I can get out of this city. I can only see a few glimmering stars; at home the whole sky would be alight. It will take me a while to fall asleep tonight but I don't mind, I'm just getting conversant with my new home.
Anyone want to be my friend? I left my friends behind.

I would most certainly be your friend if distance permits. Please find your place in where you are right now. Be adventurous but be safe and do not forget of the latter.

I'll be your friend. ♥ I was born, grew up and still live in the city. All my life, I've been listening to the sound of traffic and peering up at the night sky for a glimpse of the tiny scattering of stars we have here. Where you come from is where I dream of going. x

Home will become much much more special now :). It's very exciting moving out into new unexplored places, but so daunting at the same time. Best of luck finding your place. x

I'm thinking about buying the holga lens for the nikon cameras, but probably I won't do it because I'm a bit affraid of buying online. Anyways the last one is the one I dream having, but it's a bit too expensive for me.
Yes, the juice camera is too cute ahaha

Oh thank you! It is a bridge in Rome where lovers leave there the padlocks. I talk about the story on my other blog which is written in english: http://3-hundred-and-sixty-something.blogspot.com/2011/02/milvio-bridge-rome.html

I moved to a big city from a small town almost 2 years ago. It was such a dramatic change, but once I got used to it, homesickness was a distant sensation and I started to realise how much this new city had to offer me.

The world is your oyster, darling. :) x
